That guy claims that he has earned a PhD (London). Your blogger infers that London
is Univ of London. Good for him.
However, the serious problem with his kind offer is that anyone who has studied up to the
high school education should be able to point out 2 spelling mistakes, similarly, anyone who
has learned English up to a degree level will be able to spot 3 contextual errors, all of them
in the very first sentence.
I hope that guy is joking. Read yourself! I would say if that guy has really earned a PhD in
English, your humble blogger will and should go and claim for a Noble (English) literature,
or a third PhD in English language.

Been there, done that, learned and earned to doubt!
Some of us have been there, done that, paid dues, stayed hungry, endured abuses, stayed
awake at nights worrying for research, dissertation and papers, licked ego-bruising wounds,
swallowed pride, occasionally faced rejections, drifted hopelessly in uncertainties, sighed
seriously at thin wallets and drained bank accounts, supplemented meager stipends with
part-time, quarreled with supporting wives, felt sorrow for not being able to provide, gotten
sick with peers and professors, worried for future job prospects, just for a degree, a three
letter word with some dots. Yes we have suffered all those hardships along the pursuits of
terminal and doctoral degrees at postgraduate schools.
By doing so, we learned the trade, we observed the tricks, we think we can spot the dust in
the sleek operators, snake oil dealing fakers whom we name and shame in this humble blog.
Dr. Nyein Chan is one such person. Below is his statement (in his own words) why does he
think that Maung Zar Ni is faking his PhD. Of course, we do know some supervisors have
vetted their candidates unworthy for a PhD degree the right to call themselves Dr." So will
our sufferings become all for nothing, no way! This blog is born to name and shame fakers.
Without further ado, I present Dr. Nyein Chan to present research findings and conclusions.
'Dear Sirs and Madams,
I am Dr Nyein Chan. I write to you regarding the PhD thesis of Mr Maung Zarni (or Dr Zarni
has he prefers to be called). In particular, I am referring to this person:

I understand that it has been confirmed by the University of Wisconsin at Madison that Maung
Zarni has indeed been awarded with a PhD. This still does not stop me from investigating further.
I hereby make you known that I genuinely, seriously and honestly have doubts in the academic authenticity and legitimacy of Zarni's PhD thesis for reasons stated below.
Firstly, his so-called PhD thesis can be found at

unless someone immediately removes after this email. (I have a copy on my computer)
Secondly, I checked it using SafeAssign Software (plagiarism detection software) by Blackboard.
It is similar to popular "Turnitin" software. The report from the software tells that 90% of the contents are suspected of plagiarism. A part of the report can be found at this link

Thirdly, whilst I am no expert in the field of topics contained in the document so-called PhD thesis
of Zarni, as someone who has done a PhD successfully at a top British University, I feel authorised
to state my OPINION having personally read the document believed to be a thesis that
1. his PhD thesis is not in an appropriate format
2. the language and the style is not up to the PhD level
3. I found no critical analysis or argument to draw an intellectual conclusion
Most or all of you have done a PhD. Please read it and tell me it is worthy of a PhD!!!!

Finally, my email may or may not be POLITICALLY-MOTIVATED. However, everything I stated is what I seriously and honestly believe out of my own investigation and are mere opinions. Whether Maung Zarni committed plagiarism or not is INDEPENDENT of my political motivation, and is also independent of my personal like and dislike of him.

ေဒါက္တာ ဆိတ္ဖြား, ေဒါက္တာ စိုးရင္ and Dr. Dr. blogger
Your blogger learned that Dr. Soe Yin, a law maker, a MP from the parliament of Myanmar, is going to sue ေဒါက္တာ ဆိတ္ဖြား, an online entity like your humble blogger who expresses her opinions behind the safety of an on-line mask. Since your humble blogger is not sure whether that ေဒါက္တာ စိုးရင္ or ေဒါက္တာ ဆိတ္ဖြား are fake PhDs or medical doctors with MBBSes, you readers should not expect comments nor opinions here. But it is very funny to see law makers are busy with petty issues such as proposing to sue the no-name Facebook personality like ေဒါက္တာ ဆိတ္ဖြား. Wow! my mother land, beautiful Burma, has democracy now!!!!!

Congratulations for driving a faker out of academia!
Maung Zar Ni is a popular fellow at this hall of shame. Let us reflect this as a case study. For the knowledge of our readers we will report you as a whole as we have been presenting you piece after piece.
Since early 2000s, we have learned that there is no thesis of Maung Zar Ni at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. But we did not pay attention. However, our suspicions grow, alarm bells in our scholarly bodies rang, and signals that there is a faker out there amplified in recent years. We got gut feelings that he is faking PhD after reading articles after articles of his unbalanced lope-sided writings in popular on-line publications. His writings, anything but scholarly, prompted us to start investigating him. When we were quite certain that he is very likely to be a fake, we have given him
a chance to prove himself otherwise. We offered that if he can send his thesis, we will remove him from this hall of shame of faking PhDs. To make sure that we did our research right and presented our case clearly to you via this blog. We have presented our research question, methodology, tools, findings, conclusions here. Therefore, till now, our stand remains the same, until he sends us his PhD thesis, he is a fake PhD for us.
Recently, it seems to us that we are seeing some progresses ranges from uncommitted replies from administrators from the US, UK and ASEAN universities and now the resignation letter of our man with fake PhD. Congratulations to Dr. Nyein Chan, other Drs. and wanna-be Drs who have heavily contributed to this blog to take down a fake PhD, Maung Zar Ni.
We congratulate your efforts such as sending tips, talking to librarian of UW-Madison, checking whether the degree was conferred to the suspect with the university academic director, discussing with HR staff at the London School of Economics, initiating the communication and following up with UBD, getting opinions from few Burmese and foreign academics at London universities and running the plagiarism check of that random collection of sentences and paragraphs in an Adobe Acrobat file which he claims as his PhD thesis. We have read that pdf file but we find it hard to believe it is a thesis, especially from a university like the University of Wisconsin at Madison, a public ivy.
In fact, academia is already tainted by in-competent researchers who cannot publish or publish in fake journals and swamped by un-committed lecturers who cannot teach but merely rumble, so it is unbearable to see fake PhDs doing fake research and tutoring rubbish. So congratulations Drs and Dr Drs.

When you got fired or forced to leave, fake that you quit!!!
In the middle of a travel, your humble blogger has learned that one faker said quit to his employer.
Remember, your very humble blogger has not only earned 3 terminal post-graduate degrees, 2 professional degrees. But also he has been working or consulting private companies and public corporations of small, medium, large and mega-large sizes for more than 30 years. And he also teaches in 2 universities. So he knows about all work places those also include universities. Been there, done that, seen all.
Getting fired is nothing to feel sad or shame. It is part and parcel of professional lives although not for tenured professors who lose jobs unless they bonk a 17 years old freshman or a sophomore girls or both at the same time. Just don't say quit when you get fired. Don't do it. It is pathetic and people are not fools, they can sense fishy smell from thousands of miles away. We know that you are lying!
Read between the lines, I think our lad who publicly ranted "Long live my sugar daddies, who came through gaping holes in the western border of Burma, their man-meat I love to suck!" got fired from his employer, the only university in the small country. When you put foot in mouth, you get fired.
