Your humble blogger has experienced an eerie and odd encounter.
He has witnessed a public entertainment of a hall-of-shame-resident.
Your blogger has thought of smacking that faker. However, on second
thoughts, he left after watching that clown in animation working hard
to earn his lobbyist's fees in cash or other intangible forms.

Frankly speaking, that sell-out's street performance was solid though
not stellar. However, it is pathetic to see him trying to make a living
by sucking to please his new buddies, spitting lies and selling out
his old country lobbying hard for crowd who have malicious intent
towards Burma. While your blogger understand that plagiarist has
to make a living and without a real PhD, you cannot get a serious
job in academia and the only money making scheme left for him
is to act like a chick whoring herself out to make her men happy.
In his case, a dick lobbying for men who stand behind his back.
Not surprising that he cannot write a thesis with his low-level of
scholastic intelligence believing whatever he is fed to, and lack of
integrity. No wonder, plagiarism was his modus-operandi. The face
of a person and his gestures can betray a person and laid it bare,
tells us all about his character. Gross is the right word to express
the feelings.

Needless to say, our blogger has have to work hard to control his
impulses not to smack that man in the face or spit at him.

Sacked ex-Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Winn's paper is cited 76 times!

Yesterday, when blogger has read about news that a Burmese federal
minister (who uses a "Doctor" title) was sacked, he reckoned a hall
of shame resident was sacked for his fake PhD from a diploma mill.
Surprise and dismay, your blogger felt, after learning that official
who dismissed from public service has done research in agricultural
sciences. Ironically, he was dismissed from a deputy minister job in
the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation.

Therefore, while blogger is happy that his hall of shame residents
are still holding important portfolios in current Burmese cabinet,

Your blogger has been informed that a fake PhD has conned Myanmar Engineering Council (a guild for technologists in Burma). That U Tin Tun has lectured Continuing Professional Development courses at Rangoon Institute of Technology for years. He was in board for qualifying Professional Engineers. What an ironic twist!

Your blogger want to introduce self-doctored "U Tin Tun" to a new resident of this shame.

Ministry is mooting guidelines to prevent the misuse of academic titles such as
‘Dr’. "We are in the midst of discussions with several universities on the matter,
and will come up with guidelines in two months’ time,” said its minister, Datuk
Seri Idris Jusoh. "First, we have to clearly define (what constitutes as) misuse
of the PhD title, and whether the action can be criminalised,” ...

My condolences to families of policemen and soldiers!!

Burma is under attack.

Your blogger wants to offer his heart-felt condolences to the families
of policemen and soldiers who sacrificed their lives defending Arakan!

The more not always merrier!!

There is a cliche in English, "The more the merrier!". Well, that is not
always true! Your blogger has been volunteering and shouldering this
responsibility of exposing fake doctorates who are Burmese origin or
who will have something to do with Burma. Whenever a plagiarist like
Maung Zarni or a fake like Nay Zin Latt is exposed, a part of blogger's
soul is chipped away. Not that he is fond of that Maung Zarni who is
now rumored to be a sell-out lobby, an online whore, for alien illegal
trespassers, but the fact that Zarni is the son of Burmese parents. For
that reason, this blogger really hates what he is doing but he has to
do what has to be done.

Under those circumstances, it is a pain to see more fake Burmese
who are to be named and shamed for they have fake PhDs.

This blogger is surprised to learn that squeaky clean city state where Burmese youth head for higher education has had diploma mills. Below is extraction from an old news article:

Cannot find Rangoon Mayor Maung Maung Soe's PhD Thesis!

Rangoon mayor Mister Maung Maung Soe claims that he has earned
his PhD from the Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands. It
is easy to find out.

The uniqueness of Dutch PhD is that all PhD dissertations are published
with ISBN numbers. In other words, if you have earned your PhD from
one of the Netherlands' universities, your PhD thesis must have an ISBN
number, and that means finding your thesis does not even need to go to
the university library. To determine whether someone has earned a PhD
from a Dutch university, you can go to any library, search library's ISBN
catalogue with author name. Alternatively, the accused can prove his
PhD is a bona fide doctorate by showing ISBN number of his PhD thesis.

Your humble blogger cannot find any Mister Maung Maung Soe, so the
new mayor of Rangoon has earned his residency in this hall of shame.

Hold a BA from OxBridge? Can have a MA after a few years!

Due to the ancient tradition, students who have earned Bachelor of Arts (BA) degrees
from the medieval universities such as Oxford and Cambridge are entitled to receive
Master of Arts (MA) title a few years after graduation without sitting assessments.

In the case of Oxford University, for a BA to title him or herself as a MA, you don't
even need to ask the university a new certificate. Read below, in essence, it says
if you have a BA or BFA from Oxford, you can call yourself an MA and there is no
need to take classes or exams as long as you have BA certificate. See below:

'You must have had your BA or BFA conferred in order to take your MA. They can be conferred at the same ceremony provided that sufficient time has elapsed since you matriculated. You should book a degree ceremony through your college. You are not
eligible to take an MA if your undergraduate degree is an Oxford integrated Master’s
degree (MBiochem, MChem, MEng, MMath etc).

The Oxford MA allows you to reach a new status within the University and is not an

Your blogger wants to show his respect to U Kyaw Win. For he has shown remorse, for
he has confessed that his PhD is a fake one, he is no longer the resident of this hall of shame. However, U Than Myint, MP of Hlaing-Thar-Yar electorate, with Pacific Western University's fake PhD, still remains as the resident of this hall until he shows remorse to
the greater public.

U Than Myint, a Burmese MP, bought his fake PhD!

Bogus doctor-ed Dr. Than Myint, the federal minister of the union
of Myanmar for the ministry of commerce nominee, an elected NLD
MP, might have paid 2500$ or less for his fake PhD from the Pacific
Western University.  The Pacific Western University is a diploma mill.
Read the US government report(GAO-04-771T), the extract below:

'........... diploma mills and other unaccredited schools modify their
billing practices so students can obtain payments for degrees by the
federal government. Purporting to be a prospective student, our
investigator placed telephone calls to three schools that award
academic credits based on life experience and require no classroom
instruction: Barrington University (Mobile, Alabama); Lacrosse
University (Bay St. Louis, Mississippi); and Pacific Western University
(Los Angeles, California). These schools each charge a flat fee for a
degree. For example, fees for degrees for domestic students at Pacific
Western University[where Mr. Than Myint has bought his fake PhD]
are as follows: Bachelor of Science ($2,295); Master's Degree in
Business Administration ($2,395); and PhD ($2,595). ......'

Mr. Than Myint, the minister of commerce, holds a fake PhD!

Make no mistake, this blogger is a supporter of NLD and Daw Aung San Su Kyi. But he
has left with no choice but to expose everyone with fake credentials. We got another
fake PhD. I present you Mr. Than Myint, the elected MP from Hlaing-Thar-Ya township, another NLD ministerial front-runner is a fake PhD with a degree from Pacific Western University, a well-known diploma mill.

Mr. Kyaw Win, who is tipped as the minister of finance in the NLD-led cabinet, holds a fake PhD from Brooklyn Park University, a known diploma mill. Therefore U Kyaw Win might or might not become a minister in new Myanmar cabinet but he has earned his residency in this hall of shame.
